이지영 작가의 《긴 달리기》을 개최합니다.
어느 날 갑자기 삶의 길 위에 놓였다고 생각한다. 그 길에 놓였던 처음 순간-태어난 순간-을 기억하지는 못한다. 그 길을 얼마만큼 살아내고 나서야 내가 삶의 길 위에 있음을 자각하고, 곁에 있는 사람들을 인식하고, 그리고 더 많은 것들을 발견하고 이해하게 된다. 의식하지 못한 채 삶이라는 흐름 속으로 들어와 언제일지 모를, 내 의지와는 무관한 삶의 끝으로 나아가는 과정을 달리기라는 행위로 시각화하고자 했다. 그리고 그 여정을 ‘긴 달리기‘라 칭한다. (작가 노트 중)

One day, I suddenly find myself placed on the path of life. I do not remember the very first moment I was set upon it—the moment of birth. Only after living through a certain stretch of that path do I become aware that I am indeed on it, begin to recognize the people beside me, and gradually discover and understand more. Unconsciously, I entered the current of life, unaware of when it began, moving toward its end regardless of my own will. I sought to visualize this journey through the act of running. And I call this journey ‘In the run’. (From the artist’s note)
