[구토: The Nausee ]
“어느 날, 아무렇지 않게 지나치던 풍경이 낯설게 느껴질 때가 있다. 늘 앉던 벤치, 익숙한 손잡이, 매일 반복되던 목소리들이 조용히 어긋나고 세계는 조금씩 그 본래의 얼굴을 드러낸다. [구토: The Nausee]는 바로 그 어긋남과 틈의 감각에서 출발한다. 이 전시는 고정된 의미와 명확한 형상을 넘어 흐르고 진동하며 얽히는 존재의 상태에 집중한다.
강종모와 시시민, 두 작가는 서로 다른 방식으로 ‘관계 속에서 구성되고 변화하는 존재’에 대해 탐구한다. 조각과 설치로 완결되지 않은 세계의 구조를 모색하는 강종모, 일상적인 것에서 포착한 단서들을 따라 비정형적 감각의 틈을 포착하는 시시민. 이들은 존재를 고정하지 않고, 명료화하지 않으며, 오히려 그 모호함 속에서 우리 자신과 세계를 다시 감각하게 한다.”
《구토: The Nausee》는 말보다 감각에 가까운 전시다. 일상이 낯설게 어긋나는 자리, 세계가 조용히 균열되는 그 순간, 우리는 묻는다.
나는 어디에 서 있는가? 그리고 무엇이 나를 구성하고 있는가?
“One day, there comes a moment when a familiar landscape suddenly feels strange. The bench you always sit on, the handle you’re used to touching, the voice repeated daily—these things quietly slip out of sync. And the world, little by little, begins to reveal its raw face.
《The Nausee》 begins precisely from that sense of misalignment and rupture. This exhibition focuses on the state of being that flows, vibrates, and entangles—beyond fixed meanings and definite forms.
Jongmo Kang and Shishi Jihyun Min—two artists—each explore, in their own way, the idea of ‘being constituted and transformed through relationships.’ Jongmo Kang seeks the structures of a world that remains incomplete through sculpture and installation, while Shishi Jihyun Min traces clues from the everyday to capture the gaps of formless sensation. They do not attempt to fix being, nor to clarify it. Rather, within that ambiguity, they lead us to re-sense ourselves and the world anew.”
《The Nausee》 is an exhibition closer to sensation than to language. In the moments when the ordinary becomes strangely disjointed, when the world quietly begins to crack, we ask:
Where am I standing? And what is it that composes myself?
