팩션은 비유적 장치를 통해 현실로 전환되는 임계점을 회화로 포착하는 박두리 개인전 《하염없는 바깥》을 진행한다. 작가는 언어의 한계성으로 인해 반복적으로 실패하면서도 끝내 외부로 나아가려는 부단한 시도를 누수로 인해 천장 텍스타일이 무너진 개인적 경험을 통해 풀어낸다. 말해지지 않은 것들이 축적되어 만든 틈과 침묵이 밀어낸 균열은 폐쇄된 세계를 형성해 온 구조물을 붕괴시킨다. 주관적 인식 속에서 형상화된 텍스타일의 갈매기 무늬는 현실의 감각을 소환하는 상징적 통로로 작동한다. 닥죽을 겹겹이 쌓아 올린 화면과 겹쳐진 이미지들은 중첩을 통한 소멸을 보여준다. 끊임없는 중첩 속에서 내부로 밀려 들어가는 이미지는 작가가 비유적 장치로 실재를 다루는 태도를 보여준다. 하나의 장면으로 고정되지 않고 접히고 쌓인 이미지들은 무너졌기에 열린 자리, 지워졌기에 남은 장면을 드러낸다. 그리고 끝내, 내부의 침묵이 바깥을 열어젖히는 순간에 이른다.

Faction is pleased to present The Boundless Outside, a solo exhibition by Park Duri. The artist’s practice explores the threshold at which metaphor slips into lived experience—rendered through the material and temporal language of painting. Rooted in a personal memory of a collapsed acoustic ceiling tile caused by a water leak, Park investigates the persistent, often futile, attempts to reach outward—despite the inherent limits of language. What remains unspoken accumulates in silence, forming fissures that ultimately rupture the closed systems designed to contain them. A familiar wave-like motif—common on acoustic ceiling panels in institutional spaces—re-emerges as a symbolic threshold through which fragments of reality seep in. Park’s compositions layer dakjuk (traditional Korean mulberry paper) into textured surfaces, where overlapping imagery is slowly obscured through accumulation. Her refusal to settle on a fixed viewpoint produces paintings that fold and stack, evoking that which opens only through collapse and remains only through erasure. Within this aperture, silence ceases to retreat—and begins instead to assert itself outward.
