PAAI (Pan Asian Art Initiative) is an artist-led, research-driven collective committed to shaping a new discourse on Pan-Asian aesthetics. Formed by six artists across Korea and beyond, PAAI engages in collaborative research and visual practices that draw from womanist thought, diasporic experiences, and East Asian material culture.
Through exhibitions, writing, and public programming, the collective investigates how diverse Asian aesthetic lineages can intersect to form a shared yet pluralistic ground. PAAI ultimately seeks to articulate a Pan-Asian aesthetic—one rooted in embodied knowledge, local traditions, and transregional exchange.
