두 작가는 ‘생명’이라는 공통된 주제를 바탕으로 각기 다른 재료와 방식을 통해 자연과 인간의 내면을 표현하며, 이를 통해 본질적인 유사성을 드러내고 공통점을 강조한다. 인간의 평등성을 탐구하는 요소로서 해부학적 분석을 바탕으로 내면의 정체성에 집중하며, 이를 통해 자연과 인간을 중심으로 기존 공간을 재해석하고, 평면과 입체, 나아가 생명과 환경이 만들어내는 상호작용을 통해 종합적인 개입을 유도한다.
조한나(b.1991)는 독일 슈투트가르트에 위치한 국립 미술 아카데미에 재학 중이며, 독일에서 열린 다수의 단체전에 참여하였다. 한국에서는 작년 단체전 'Exoskeleton' 이후 두 번째로 선보이는 전시이다. P21에서 처음 소개되는 이천국(b.1995)은 중앙대학교에서 조소를 전공한 뒤 홍익대학교에서 석사 과정을 마쳤다. Bio Gallery(2025)와 공간형(2022) 등에서 개인전을 개최한 바 있다.
P21 presents its first exhibition of 2025, Land of Origins, a two-person show featuring Hanna Jo and Chunkook Lee. Both artists explore the theme of "life" through different materials and techniques, focusing on the similarities between nature and the human inner world. The artists reinterpret the surrounding space through the lens of nature and humanity. The exhibition encourages comprehensive engagement through the interaction between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, as well as the dynamic relationship between life and the environment.
Hanna Jo(b.1991) is currently studying at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design, Germany, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Germany. This is her second exhibition in Korea, following the group show 'Exoskeleton' last year. Chunkook Lee(b.1995) is being introduced for the first time at P21. He majored in sculpture at Chung-Ang University and earned his master’s degree at Hongik University. Lee has previously held solo exhibitions at Bio Gallery(2025) and Artspace Hyeong(2022), among others.
