亀戸アートセンターは、ヘルミッペ個展「Adt」を開催します。
ヘルミッペは、ピクセルアートを主軸としたイラストレーション、ミュージックビデオ、VJなど幅広く創作活動を行うアーティストです。
幼少期から10代にかけて、見た物事や、言葉から連想したイメージが、幻覚に近い形で度々強く目の前に現れるといった体験をしていたヘルミッペは、ここ数年間、生活習慣のズレなどから不眠症になり、そこから自身の内面や生活のリズムについて考えるようになったことで、その昔の記憶を思い出します。
「大人になり社会性を獲得するにつれ、昔はみんな持っていたそれぞれ個別の感性や悩みを社会の場では表に出さずに生活しているけれど、実は今でも内側に留めているだけなのではないか」と考える彼の絵には、幼い頃見た幻覚の体験や、その感覚の断片が顔を覗かせ、有機的なモチーフや写実的な表現であっても現実とは少しずれたような不思議な世界が描かれています。解像度が低く境界の曖昧なドット絵という描画法は、彼にとってその過去の感覚を具現化する上で無意識ではあるが必然的な選択だったのかもしれません。
本展のタイトル「Adt 」はAnti dusk troupeの略で、段々夜になっていく夕暮れに抗いたいという彼の現在の状態が表されています。そこには自分の身体と内面との付き合い方を考え、生活のバイオリズムや、頭の中にある人と違った部分も素直に作品に昇華していきたいという思いが込められています。

Hermippe is an artist who engages in a wide range of creative activities, including illustration, music videos, and VJing, with a focus on pixel art.
During his childhood and teenage years, Hermippe experienced images that she associated with things she saw or words she heard, often appearing in front of her eyes in a strong, almost hallucinatory way. It was a memory that came back to him.
As we grow up and become more socially aware, we tend to avoid expressing our individual sensitivities and concerns that we all had in the past, but in fact, we still keep them to ourselves. His paintings depict a mysterious world that seems to be slightly out of touch with reality, even with organic motifs and realistic expressions. The low-resolution, boundary-ambiguous dots may have been an unconscious but inevitable choice for him to embody his past sensations.
The title of this exhibition, "Adt," stands for "Anti dusk troupe," and expresses his current state of wanting to resist the dusk that is gradually becoming night. It expresses his desire to think about how to deal with his body and his inner self, and to sublimate the biorhythms of his life and the parts of his mind that are different from those of others into his artwork.

デジタル表現であるPixel artの中で、特にMixelという手法を用いる。
Pixelとは画面の解像度に由来する画像の最小単位を表しますが、Mixelは一つの画面の中で複数の解像度が存在する「複合解像度」を意識した表現を指し、異なるPixelが一つの画面の中に存在することで、対象の存在感や距離、情報量の差に注目。
Pixel artを元に、リソグラフ、コラージュ、ライブドローイング、カセットテープを使用した表現。
Among the digital expressions of Pixel art, a technique called Mixel is used in particular.
A pixel represents the smallest unit of an image derived from the resolution of the screen, but a pixel refers to an expression that is conscious of "compound resolution" where multiple resolutions exist within a single screen, focusing on the difference in presence, distance, and amount of information of an object by having different pixels on a single screen.
Based on pixel art, he uses lithograph, collage, live drawing, and cassette tape.
